Default Micromega CD transport with Phillips laser

I have a Micromega CD transport from the DUO range. I understand that it uses a Phillips CDM9 laser pickup.
Its 12 years old and its finally stopped working. I think that the laser pickup has been discontiued? If so does anyone know what my options are apart from an expensive door stopper!!

I guess if you contact micromega - the website is in french, but they communicate in english too - you might be able to get the mechanism. I had contacted them about an upgrade for my stage two - which i now only used as a transport - to a stage six, and they werde selling the parts, no problem.

Hello,
You could find CDM9
at
http://www.grandata.co.uk/acatalog/G...ILIPS_124.html
But I've heard the CDM9 PRO is used in top Micromega Transports, so please check it.

Default Micromega saga

The Micromega Duo I have found out uses the CDM9 as you have said. Grandata have these but its very different to the one thats in the machine. It seems as though Micromega have modified or had some special chasis made for this unit. In any event they can repair it for 450 euros. Seems alot perhaps? Anyone any comments.

Thanks
We have looked at the items that daisy laser produce and am now convinced that they produce or have done in the past for Micromega but guess what they don't respond to any faxes or emails. They are a group financed by Phillips and even if they did not want to deal with us they are so arrogant that they will not even acknowledge our emails. I will contact Phillips myself I will not let this rest. I cannot tolerate rudeness. I will puersue this to the death!

Why not contact micromega direct? I have done so in the past and they responded within days.

Since when are people supposed to respond to whatever email???
If I had a business like Daisy Laser,I would consider all the emails from diyers as spam.(And I suppose they do too...)

Just do as Bernhard suggests, hunt down some cdm9's on eBay and start diying.
