laser for CDM 4/19

I need a new laser for the CDM4/19 in a
Rotel855. I have tried various vendors but
nobody carries these anymore, including
Rotel. Is there a functional equivalent I
could use?

Great selection! The page indicated that they are out of the laser but maybe it isn't current. If you could doublecheck, I would be grateful.

I checked at Poltronic. They do not have it for time being, but ...
1. They can take order for it - last date is 25th / 26th if you decide to do so.
2. They will check at a supplier if it is available and try to get the laser - if so, you need to wait 2-3 weeks.
3. Then shipment to ... via ...

More questions than answers, hope still remains.

Since it is difficult to replace this laser (even functional equivalents seem hard to find, e.g. 4/28 and 4/31), I wonder what
other diy options I have. Here are two alternatives that come to my feeble mind:

1) Replace the transport. (WHat transport would be the closest
match and require the least changes in the power supply of the Rotel 855)

2) Keep power supply, case and start from scratch.

Comments would be very welcome.
