Talking CD PRO2M problem

Hello,

We would like to have some information guidance about CD PRO2M and TENTLABS XO3 on the following points:

- CD PRO2M + TENTLABS XO3 do not operate the SPDIF of TENT well [distorted sound]. CD PRO2M do not read any CD at all, [no data detected]

- What are the causes of the symptom?

- How We're gonna solve the problem?

Regards,
Kasidinn

Hi Kasidinn,

on the website of daisy-laser, there is some info/instructions on how to connect Tent clock to CD-Pro2M:
http://www.daisy-laser.nl/homeoptics/page34.html

Without any more specific info your problem, I can only guess.

- What clock-freq do you use? (first thought is you are using the wrong frequency)
- How is the clock connected?

Henk

Hi Henk,

I used 8.4672 MHz clock frequency and connected Tent clock by daisy-laser instruction [from daisy-laser website].

Hi Kasidinn,
do you use the Tent X03 clock also to reclock its output?

SPDIF-out is what I know based on 11.2896Mhz.
There is a note on the page that reads:

Quote:
Additional NOTE: hooking up DA converters with a 11.xx clock to CD-PRO2 or CD-PRO2M is not supported or even technically simply possible.

My CD12 Ind (which is compatible with the Pro2M) is clocked with a Tent X03 with 11.2896 Mhz.

You should email Guido if its is possible to use the 8.4672 MHz

Henk
