Default Cdpro2m -> I2s -> Pt P-1a

Hi,
I have just finished my CDPRO2. I am using I2S to feed a Perpetual Technologies P-3A which works fine. However, as soon as I try to use the I2S into the P-1A, everything stops working.

I have tried all modes of I2S output from the CDPRO2M but to no avail.

Has anyone ever achieved this?

Regards,

Gaz

"stopped working" Do u mean u don`t get any audio?

Is the dac locked on the signal? And did u properly connect the ground?

Hi,

I get no audio when the P-1A is connected, however, I can get it to lock onto a signal. The system works fine without the P-1A (I2S directly to P-3A).

The strange thing is, when the P-1A is locked onto a signal, the P-3A isn't, and vice versa (by changing the I2S output mode on the transport).

The wiring is grounded properly.

Thanks,
Gaz

U are sure that the p-1a works correctly? And can u get it to lock on only 1 I2S mode, or does it lock on to more then one mode?

Plz share some photo`s of your cd pro!

Hi,
I will post some pics of my CDPRO soon. Here are the I2S modes:

Code:
I2S - FS (P-3A shows I2S input, P-1A does not)
I2S - 2FS (P-3A shows I2S input, P-1A does not)
I2S - 4FS (P-1A shows I2S input, P-3A does not)
SONY 16bit - FS (P-3A shows I2S input, P-1A does not)
SONY 16bit - 2FS (P-3A shows I2S input, P-1A does not)
SONY 16bit - 4FS (P-1A shows I2S input, P-3A does not)
SONY 18bit - FS (P-3A shows I2S input, P-1A does not)
SONY 18bit - 2FS (P-3A shows I2S input, P-1A does not)
SONY 18bit - 4FS (P-1A shows I2S input, P-3A does not)
AV123 have suggested I sent it back for checking so it may be faulty...
