Default Guido, you seem to be

.... talking to deaf guys or worse .....

Can we make a banner on this site, about this (phenomen that ppm is a relevant quality of a clock. It is becoming irritating, even for me a layman in thius field.

That relieves.

Default Is TCXO really good for re-clock??

Dear X.G,

Not need to surprise for this,

TCXO was OEM from taiwan.
This factory at first thread I was said it OEM for japan Products. As my version II DAC, I choose KOA product low ppm resisters max with dale resisters.
Low ppm resisters of KOA was OEM from China. Only the presicion resisters will still made in Japan. The RMA, Cheap~ high grade KOA made in China Now.
as Elna capacitors, now is made in Taiwan, Thailand.
This Caps was made by Elna, Oem For Pioneer Hi-End amp power supply use Capacitors was made in Thailand.
Pls see the photos.

One more example, Pls check your Nokia mobile. U will see the back show 'Made by Nokia'. Its also made in China now, If the products actually100% made in Japan will stated ' Made in Japan' Will not say japan.
My first thread said already.

BTW, Can anyone help me to test for this TCXO jitter???

I was willing to post him one TCXO to test, I think many diyer will like to know it.

It will only cost USD 23.5 per one in ,<2ppm stanard.
If <1 ppm will cost USD 33 per one. If I can understand more detail for this TCXO's jitter.
Then I can maintain a re-clock in very good price unless I use all very good parts, 74VHCXXX, TL431I.

thx

thomas

Hi Thomas

What you can do is to ask the XO factory to provide you the
Allan deviation/Modified Allan deviation number in PPM.
For TCXOs, they should provide you this number under request.
In turn, you can show this PPM number to whomever buys
the TCXO. Allan deviation PPM is good enough to reflect
the XO's timing jitter performance for CD applications.
OCXOs should have Allan deviation number standard
as part of the specs. So Kohjin-san's choice on using
OCXO is perfectly valid and should get very very good
result.

One of my clients has this Agilent JS-1000 test machine:

http://www.home.agilent.com/USeng/na...882186/pd.html

though way overkill here. If you still can not find others
to help you test the TCXO, I may be able to help you on
that.
