Hi all,

I orderd some time ago sample IC's from TI:
PCM1804DB
PLL1700E
TUSB3200ACPAH
PCM1608KY
PCM1850PJT
PCM2702E
PCM2707PJT
PCM2902E
PGA2310PA
PGA4311U
TAS3004PFB

Now I was thinking of using:
PCM1850 - 24-Bit 96-kHx Stereo A/D Converter w/6 x 2-Channel Mux & PGA - Input selector.

TAS3004PFB - Digital Audio Processor with CODEC - for 7 band EQ and volme control.

PCM2902 - Stereo Audio CODEC w/USB Interface + SPDIF - for USB input and SPDIF input. run through PCM1850

And a PIC to control the PCM1850, and TAS3004PFB with and LCD push buttens and a rotary encoder to control most functions.
and a DAC at the output!

So I want to do somthing like this:
PCM2902-->PCM1850-->TAS3004PFB-->DAC-->POWER AMP

5 analog inputs, 1 USB input and SPDIF input
, PCM1850 and TAS3004PFB controlled by PIC.
Is this ALL possible to do?

BTW I dont know how to program a PIC(the code)
Dose someone know of any sites that expain how to program?
Thanks
Kinser

What's the PLL for?

I don't think you can use the 2902 to get SPDIF into your DAC. You can only use the SPDIF input on the 2902 to transmit digital audio to your computer. As far as I know, there's no way to route signals from the SPDIF decoder to the SPDIF encoder. So, you'll need something like CS8412 for SPDIF input.

Everything else seems OK.

Hi all,
Thanks for the replys!
I got a bit mixed up about the 2902... I forget the SPDIF is only for the USB.. but I want the USB because I will use with my computer.. and I thought it would be cool... so I will get some SPDIF encoders and decoders..
I would like to know if the DAC in the TAS3004 is any good? Im pretty new to digital stuff...
And the last thing.. What PIC sould I use to control the 1850 and the 3004? Dont forget I want to have an LCD(2x16 or 4x16) a rotary encoder and about six small push buttens.
Thanks,
Kinser
