Default Digital front end questions

This may be a dumb question - I know little a bout digital at this point.
Would it be possible to take the digital out put from a CD transpot ( such as this one - My CD-Transport project -) and run it in to a digital input on a digital Xover such as the Behringer or DEQX . So as to use the DSP and DAC in th Xover.

Yes. It works fine. The DCX only has AES/EBU input, so you will need to modify cable and/or transformed impedence.

1. yes, you can connect the deq directly to a cd player. You might connect it using rac one side, xlr on the other side - but you should use 110 ohm cable. A regular rca interconnect (around 50 ohm or lower)
can work - it did so with my micromega, but might not - as it did with my philips 963.
The wiring diagram is sketches in the deq manual.

You can use also the tosalink optical input of the deq.

But - what do you use as a volume control - or is the output of your cd player attenuable in the digital domai? Not a good idea, because by digitally attenuating you cut down on the bits the unit transfers.

Better a volume control between the deq and the following amp.
