Question Doubling Digital Input : Question

The DAC I am using now has only one 75 Ohm electrical digital input. But I need two.
Is it okay to fit a Y adaptor and connect two digital sources to it?
Thanks

No. It may work if only one device is turned on, but you are loading the transmission line abnormally and performance will likely be poor.

What if I make sure that only once source is switched at a time?

You could make a transistor switch for them

How about something simpler like a double-pole, double throw switch?

The Pass D1 [http://www.passlabs.com/downloads/ol...t/d1_servm.pdf] uses relays and the Stax Talent uses 74 series logic. The choice is yours. I'd opt for something that allows me to hot-switch between sources noiselessly.
