Alright .. I've searched for this solution for hours and I'm getting frustrated.
I really want to use software and a high quality soundcard to handle a 3-way crossover for each channel in a 5 channel HT system. It blows my mind that there aren't commercial products available that do this. (maybe there are .. but I can't find any) This is especially frustrating to me because my $500 eclipse car deck has a dsp that gives me very adjustable 3-way crossovers. Just blown away that my 2.4ghz P4 doesn't have the software available to do this easily. Anyone? Please help! |

Brutefir can do it if you are moving to LINUX
and know how to generate the filter coefficients http://www.ludd.luth.se/~torger/brutefir.html |

Alright .. I'm not afraid of that solution, but it surprises me that there isn't a windows based solution for this.
I'd like to use my computer as a htpc for playing dvds, cds, dvr, etc. There are certainly full-featured software packages available on linux, but my experience with Linux has always been that I spend double the time in both the initial setup and in maintenance of any linux based solution. |
