I need help with this one...it has an intermittent problem;
once in a while it starts skipping. When playing a CD, usually after a couple of tracks, you hear drop-outs. Trying to replay where it jumped, it will ofcourse be perfect. Player has a new laser, is properly adjusted, is used with external DAC, with Tent XO3-reclocked SPDIF (w/separate trafo/psu) Most caps on the "digital" board has been replaced with new, equal size of same or better q. Any suggestions, please? Arne K

Hi Arne,
Check with power off if the movement of the laser carriage is as smooth as possible. The guiding rail may need cleaning, polishing and lubrification. Also check for obstructions to the flexicable.

it mooves very easy, with just a few degrees tilt.
And has no "stop-points" on its way. Also clearance to magnets are centered and very uniform. That is why I'm puzzled... Arne K
