hy all,
I have some problems with the pic 16f84.Let's say these are only documentation problems.I dont find out what's the point with the CON 10 connector from here: http://www.lancos.com/e2p/si-prog-v2_2.pdf What's your opinion about this ponyprog software? What other schematic do you recomend me for working with mplab (i don't need a professional programmer yet) .

I used pony 2 years ago, no probs.
see the schem...left upper is the rs232(PC) to 10pin interface, then sel which cpu to program and build 10pin to cpu interface, thats it. |

CON10 on the baseboard on top left connects to pic adapter on the bottom right. Or to any other adapter if you want to program something else. If you are only interested in programming the 16f84, this is too much effort.
Search on the net, there are plenty of small programmers and software out there. E.g. PicProg, LudiPipo. One thing i found was that i had to shorten the xtal of the pic during programming. So include a jumper over the xtal and shorten it when you program 'in circuit'.

quido: what soft are you using for picprog schematic , is the same ponyprog or anoter , i' a bit confused
