I am thinking to make a da converter, I2S signal, non OS and with 4 tda 1541a parallel like Cambridge and Wadia did in the nineties, feeding the digital signal to 4 dacs PCM56 or 1541 with 0.7 microsec. delaytime (1/4 Fs).
This to smooth the analog signal and reduce distorsion
Anyone experienced by this, or has idea's or schematics?
Also anyone who knows where to buy TDA 1541A on a reasonable price?

Here is a circuit for the PCM56 that can be modified to suit the TDA1541A.

Hi Tubee,
If you' re interested, there' s a group buy for TDA1541A going on, look in the "group buy" section.
Cheers,
Bruno

Hello Bernard
How do you test the used tda's?
By the way I now turn my CD's on a '83 CD300 with double1540!
Bought on a second hand market for a few Euri,s
CD drawer is about 6 cm high, that something else that those "plasticbombers"from now. Wadia used the same tuntable mechanism in the 90''s. Treble not perfect, but bass is wonderful. There are about 8 Sony chips in it also (logic or so), it seems at that time they worked ("a bit") together, philips & sony

They invented the cd system together.

Spectrum analyzer with -60dB signal
TDA1540 is 14bit mono DAC.
Very hard for 14bit to give perfect treble...
