How do you guys rate the Quad 99 CDP?

line level output rca max =2.4v rms
quadlink output max =5.3v rms balanced
freq resp.= 20Hz -20kHz (+0dB/-0.5dB
THD =<0.002% @1kHz
S/N= >110dB 24bit 20Hz-20kHZ
>95dB 16bit 20Hz-20kHZ
Crosstalk= <100dB @ 1kHZ
Gain error= <0.5dB @-90dB f=500Hz
D/A 24bit 192kHZ 2x upsampling

above as quoted by QAUD

INPUTS= 3 x rca coax 75ohm spdif
3 x Optical toslink spdif
OUT= Optical toslink out 1x rca fixed out 1x rca variable out

Default sound

at the momnent its plating through a 99 stereo power amp and sounds good and fast. pretty grey in fact but i think that is the amp. its gonna have a pair of Brian GT monoblock gc's soon though!

I got that with a quad77 integrated, when I upgraded amp it was as if a veil or haze had been lifted from the music.

gopefully a change to the GC's simple design will open things up a bit.

Does anyone out there rate the cdp?
