Having purchased a Pioneer DV-563 "universal" player
before Best Buy stopped handling them, I noticed today that there is a new model, DV-578. Does everything the other one did, but now does WMA compressed files as well as MP3. The front looks almost identical but the back has the jacks rearranged. Does anyone know about its guts? I would doubt that it's that much different.

Thanks, Sam.
I did a little more poking and found generally unfavorable reviews. I'm glad I got mine while the getting was good.
