The recently DC-901 DSP unit from Accuphase employs two mono PCB DACs. Each DAC have two ESS Sabre 9018 DAC chips in parallel. http://www.accuphase.com/cat/dp-900_dc-901_e.pdf

I want to know if somebody have a schematic for paralleling multiple ESS 9018 Sabre DACs.

there is a LOT more going on with the DC901 than a few parallel dacs, you can only set one of 2 i2c addresses with es9018, so using more than 2 dacs you need to have custom MCU. trhe DC901 uses custom FPGA for digital filter, custom FIR coefficients, FIR output not IV stage... sorry you are on your own if you want something similar to that.

besides honestly I wish you luck even exceeding the analogue capabilities of a single ES9018 DIY (it simply isnt easy to make more than -120dB THD+N count), no point paralleling them if you cannot leverage the performance of the extra dacs. with 4 x es9018, you have 64mA of current to deal with.... a single ESS dac is already wired for dual mono, left and right are completely separate with analogue references, analogue and digital ground for each L and R

dont just fall for the marketing blurb.

Thank you for answer, qusp.
So, I think if I use, for example, two Buffalo-IIIse DACs, each configured in mono mode, I understand it will be more than enough to obtain a very good quality from ESS 9018 chip. Didn't ?

yes, or 2 x ackodac AKD12P as is my choice, or 2 x RD50

I really do recommend just starting with one though if you havent build a dac of this quality before
