Datasheet YM3623 / 16bit output configuration

Hi,

how can this chip be configured for 16bit output ?

I have an external dac with YM3434 digital filter, does it have to be reconfigured too ?

Or is any schematic around foe a DAC with those chips & pcm56 ?

The YM3623 has an output limited to 16Bits. As is the input of the YM3434. Just follow the datasheets.

Just found both data sheets on the web.

Pin 15 of the YM3434 connected to ground gives 16bit, to V+ gives 18bit.
Works.

Do you have the datasheet of the YM3016 DAC?

Might have found one in a philips machine

Austrian made, made with copy of jap transport (no swingarm) and mitsu chipset

Hi

The CD50 player has no SPDIF out, and looking at the ym2201 pic and my schematic i see there is 3 unused pins in my player.. Pin53-SDSY, Pin52-SDO, Pin51- Ø2. These data and clk pin's is connected just before the Digtal filter and parallel output to the DAC. Could this be the serial data and clk's for the Digital Audio Transmitter like the YM3437 chip ?
