Hello...I have been reading these boards for a while but never felt the need to post until I was came up with this idea. I was thinking of what the ultimate sound system component using today's technology would be. What about a digital crossover that also has a digital amp stage inside of it. That way you could plug in a digital input such as a CD player cross it into 3 or so bands and amplify it all before hitting a single D/A converter. It could be the all in one box with a huge dynamic range. Would a mod to an existing digital Crossover adding an amp stage work? Or am I missing something? Thanks!
