Default philips cd304 startup problem

i broke my philips cd304 while looking at it. It suddenly stops indexing cd's

it takes the cd in, spins it once or twice and then stops.

stupid thing: i've had it before and don't remember how i fixed it...

not sure if this is the same warm up problem the CD104 has ? I think this is a 14 bit machine yes ?

Anyway mine needs 30 minutes warm up before it will read the index. There are some posts on 104 problems which might apply to you.
