Pot-Trans in a DAC

I'd like to know if it is possible to utilize the Sowter 9335 pot-trans in a DAC (PCM-63) having as I/V converter a R of 10 ohm.

The 9335 should have its primary connected in parallel with the R and its secondary connected to the outputs.
The cables between DAC and preamplifier should be no longer than 30 cm.

I wouldn't recommend it. Seems suited for voltage-out DACs, not current-out. How are you going to get the signal up to a usable level?

Why not, Jocko ?
9335 should work well fed from a 10 ohm source and should be no problem with the lead length.
The only probelm could be represented by dc offset from the DAC (but I believe that this is not the case) that would magnetise the
transformer.

Because you are talking about a signal that might reach 10 mV. Yes, moving coils work that way, but why make things hard for yourself.
