Well this is my first post, and I hope to get some interest. I would like to develop an analog to dgital converter as one of the elements of a home recording studio system. I was able to find one other post, however it seemed to be going nowhere, and I was not able to find again later(not exactly sure what that's all about.)
I am interested in developing this device to use the Texas Instruments PCM1802 ADC and using a Crystal 192KHz transciever to support an optical interface to my PC. I believe this is achievable without too much headache, but as I am new to the digital audio design world, I would like to know if anyone is interested in collaborating on this project. My overall goal is to eventually develop a full fledged home studio with rack mounted reverb, compression, and other effects. All of this being controlled via USB, and connecting to the PC with optical cables. This ADC will be the first building block, and by basing it around a DAI transceiver it will also be expandable to provide the DAC that will be required for the overall loop that will be built. If anyone is interested in this topic, I would love to hear any suggestions. |
