First, the sound will depend on the battery type, second, it seems like AC PS adds more of that hash and grit that pure battery power is lacking.
![]() It would be interesting to run your DAC from AC power line and see how it sounds. I definitely had much less highs extention when using Panasonic 12V battery. I din't know about it untill I compared with the other supply.

Hi, NON-OS sounds pretty bright to me, despite rolloff at 20kHz.
