Hi,

this is my new clock.

Two reasons for posting it:

1. I will compare distortion with standard SAA7220 oszillator :devilr:

2. There are no changes made on the CD880 main board. :D

The clock is plugged into the SAA7220 socket instead of the chip.

+/-10V are routed via the NC pins of the SAA7220.

On the clock board, pins 10 and 11 are isolated from the CD880 board, so the crystal and the caps do not have to be removed.

The SAA7220 on the clock board is again in a socket, so I can plug my non os module, again without any soldering.

I can't hear any obvious difference in sound yet.
Maybe better soundstage.
Spent the whole night with building the clock and now I'm very tired...

Note the empty socket, thats where the clock board is plugged in.
It was only possible because the main board is very flat around the SAA7220.
