I'm sure that there are families that work that high. But after my experience with AC, I went back to ECL if it really was that fast.
Someone in Russia posted a chart of the intrinsic jitter of different families. May be in one of the I/V threads. Sorry.....I can't help any more. I am old time ECL kind of guy. Took me a while to get comfortable with HC. Jocko |

I agree with Jocko, if ECL is a possible choice, then have a look
at it. I stopped working with digital design shortly after AS and ALS TTL appeared, ant they caused problems. Everybody is telling me that the newer CMOS families cause a lot more problems. But, of course, ECL is power-hungry and want some strange supply voltages. |
