Default Audio v. non-audio ADC chip difference?

I was browsing around the TI site since I'm toying with getting into digital DIY in the upcoming months. I was surprised to see they separate non-audio and audio ADC, even quote specs differently (samples/sec vs freq.).

Thoughts on why? (FYI - I will eventually build an audio ADC/DAC of course, but I'm also interested in a data sampler for other, non-audio projects.)
