Default New Digital Pre-Amp

Well it has been about 3 weeks now and i have been talking to a member here on the forum Elkaid. We have been talking back and forth about this new Pre-Amp that uses the PIC18LF452 Chip. I have full details and schematics and ect info. here is the schematic if any one wants the full high resolution one please email me or PM me.

Edit: schematic removed for copyright reasons. Jean-Paul

More about this "Digital"preamp can be found here
Digi preamp .

It looks like a very fine and simple preamp with a lot of smart details. A far as I know it was first printed in Elektor.
But to call it a digital preamp. It is a analog preamp with a pic controlled volume control and switch.

Best regards

Claus

Do you plan to add an active cross-over that could be managed by the µC ?

Hi
you can easilly add more pga2311a's and then maybe have Behringer DCX2496 in front of them. That way you don't ruin the S/N ratio at low volume.

Best Regards

Claus

Take a look at the INA134 & INA137 from Texas Instruments, they look very easy to use.

This preamp is in the current editions of Elektor ( Elektuur in dutch ) and I am pretty sure that they don't want this schematic published here. You can visit their website and see the partlist, download the PCB layout and download the software for free. So everything can be had for free except the schematic + article/ready made boards. BTW they sell the PCB's for this project. I checked and publishing the schematic or parts of the schematic in any way is forbidden without permission as it is their sole source of income together with advertisements in the magazine.

PCB layout:

http://elektuur.o4s.com/Elektuur/NL/...e/020046-1.zip

Software for the PIC:

http://elektuur.o4s.com/Elektuur/NL/.../020046-11.zip

If someone wants the schematic he/she can buy the magazine. In the dutch edition it is in the May and April edition. The project is called The Audio Link.
