non intrusive ferrite beads

Hi,

has anyone solved the problem of fitting ferrite beads to cables where you cannot access either end ? I'm tweaking an old Philips CD104 player which uses a lot of hard wiring multi pin connectors with individual . The player is old and I'm reluctant to remove the connectors - I just wondered if there are snap on beads or beads in 2 halfs which you hot glue on.

Odd question I know but heh ?

The "bulges" you find on the mains leads supplied with equipment that was made to comply with the CE spec are often 2-part ferrite.
Try opening one of those.

Hello,

IIRC, Farnell sell a big range of clamp-on ferrite doodahs. Have a look there, they might have exactly what you need, for a price.
