Philips 12.1T/06 Mechanism

Hi guys,
My cd player seems to have died and it uses a Philips 12.1T/06 top loading mechanism. I can see red laser coming from the lens and the lens "jumps" up and down a few times but the transport isnt spinning the cd at all.

Im assuming that:
1) the whole 12.1T/06 is dead
2) just the motor is dead

Assuming that the motor is dead, it is humanly possible (for someone with mediocre/ok soldering skills) to replace the motor?

Otherwise, where can one buy find such a beast for replacement? I cant seem to find anything when I googled "12.1T/06".
