A Diyaudio member does have a standard 2004 DAC chip and we have both compared it to the TDA1541A N1 DAC chip and could not find a fault with it .

I have the CD player Naim CD3, The TDA1541A S1 have double crowns but one of these is deleted. Why???
- as Philips website, code HSH is made from Holand factory not taiwan factory.

Please help me this TDA1541A S1in this CD player is genuine or fake or remark???

That's weird... Maybe just 'wear and tear' or a bad printjob at the fab?

I don't think it will drift that much as :
1. There is no current flowing through them.
2. ALL the resistors aged at the same time.

There are no resistors involved in the matching, it's pure emitter-scaling. That can't change significantly unless basic physics has wandered meantime.

What do you make of this one?

The seller is UK based and was recommended to me by my local repair centre.

However the date code is for 2003?!
