Hi guys
I m thinking about getting an older cdplayer and modify it(re-clock,change op-amps etc)some of the candidates are Marantz CD62/72/50SE Marantz CD63SE PhilipsCD850 Arcam Alpha Arcam Alpha5/6 Rotel 965/970 Sony 2ES/3ES Musical Fidelity A2(that was a HFC Best Buy at '97) older Pioneer Stable Platter models like S504/S505 etc, these seem ideal for the Trichord clocks I m not that good at electronics but i have a friend who is very capable and he will do all the work for me! If you have any experience with any of the above CDPs please comment.I don t know if i should aim for an Arcam a Marantz or Rotel thanks

Mods to the Marantz CD63/67/6000 are covered extensively here and at audioasylum.
