Dear Pg2005,
this is a company with a professional rail for high technology. 400 % more output voltage 4,9 VAC rms on the Playstation is a sensation. It is a option for rich people. But she also have a rail for DIY, and for 0 cents.
I think it is okay!
Everyone can benefit from it, also you.
The prices in the low segment will fall dramatically, and the prices for the consoles with two op amps dramatically rise, now anyone can do for 0 cents. Afterwards the little man will not more on Ebay buy a modified PS1 for 300Dollars, and that's good.
Is that your problem?
But that's life.
We should discuss further at this level!
Leistungsplus 61 - Tet-Computerspezials
And not about dirty laundry!
We should more respect have for the engineer, who give for the little man after years of stagnation this chance.
It cost not a penny, and my PS1 sing so beautifully

Pg2005, I want to ignore you from now on!

and the rest of the world, good modified

I'll give my humble opinion.

First I'll start by talking about Mr. Nelson Pass F5, with a simplicity of components has a sound that hits many amplifiers 4 digits.

That said, I have also burned some eyelashes and made many experiments in PS1002.

This is to say that those who follow the simplicity of Mick Feuerbacher get the best possible sound, I'm sure of it.

The DAC is the brain of the beauty of these pieces, why put more parts in the signal path? The signal quality is very good, we can increase the output but will affect the signal, is unnecessary because it serves perfectly for any amplifier.

DIY is giving and sharing knowledge, PS can sell it, but terrestrial price, $ 10,000 is anything that does not fit on the head of anyone, because these boards have several years for various reasons and there are components that are due to old age malfunctioned as fuses, smd, etc ...

So the output replacement is the best method? I adore your enclosures by the way, I'm taking major inspiration from your wood front one for my build

combine with the version of Mick Feuerbacher.
There is no problem,
It's just a little more work.
Also more output voltage,
with better soundquality

Please note!
It's only with motherboard with two opamps from the Series SCPH-1000, SCPH-1001 and SCPH-1002 possible.
And now, good fun all together.

To clarify issues.
The 5th Generation "Evolution V"can you not buy, we produce 4 different types only 15 units per year. They are for a selected clientele.
Ebay is just advertising for us.

I'd do it by adding a mute circuit, ON by default, that would be turned off by a long sound provided as input (the Sony sound).
