Sigurd ,nice job you have done !

I have a question for you. I'm trying to feed the dac digital and analog separately as you did, but with battery power.
So, after lifting the legs of 10 ohm resistor and a coil the VAnalog pins still measure 4.2V instead of the 5v ,is there something I'm missing here?

Hi,
On the upside from the PCB, you must cut (scrath) were I marked
a red arrow ( this for disconnecting the 5 volt from the power
supply of the unit )

On the underside I marked a red arrow for connecting the 5
volt on the Digital + ( blue for the minus ) and a red arrow
for the Analog + ( blue for the minus ) . The dark blue arrow
is also for disconnecting the 5 volt from the power supply unit.

The red arrow + ( where is written (sony ) ) is for Digital +

Default gainclone offset regulation LS

Hi, schematic for offset regulation LS on a gainclone :

the input volume control is a stepped resistor attenuator
( attention on connecting, it is as marked )

all resistors are riken

there is an offset regulation for the LS output

I forgot the value of the potmeter on the offset bridge :
around 500KOhm.

Thanks sigurd for the help! It would have taken me ages to figure it out.
I'll try it that way and report back my findings about the sound later...

I just wanted to thank everyone for sharing thier ideas and solution on this topic!.. I had no knowledge of the internal componets in an electonic and how it works until I came to this site..

It took me like a week to read to most of the post but I understood what I had to do.. I bought my first PS1 1001 model on ebay for $17.. which I think was a steal because it was perfect inside came with controller, power cable, and AV muti out cable..

I followed Mick's direction (Thanks Mick!) on his site and was finish with the ps1 in less then a week (need materials). Later I found a picture frame around my house which I later use to case my ps1.. I wanted the ps1 to match my speakers =)

My friend later gave me his ps1 same model for free and when I compared to the one I modded, I was shock!.. Huge difference!.. I am now making another one for my mom..

Just wanted to thank everyone!!...
