I honestly did a search but did not find anything except a lot of French DIY'ers that had done it(They built their own clock). But as my skill in the French language is non existent it did not do me any good. I have recieved the following info from Thorsten Loesch:
"The CD720 (and AFAIK CD723) have a ceramic resonator, not a quarz as frequency determining element, not a good idea IMHO....."
So that could be a reason that it is not that popular to do this change
