Philips CD723

Hi there

I have read a lot of how to tweak the CD723 player but no one writes anything about changing the clock. Is there a reason for not doing this or is it so obvious that one should do that, that no one is mentioning it?

I honestly did a search but did not find anything except a lot of French DIY'ers that had done it(They built their own clock). But as my skill in the French language is non existent it did not do me any good. I have recieved the following info from Thorsten Loesch:

"The CD720 (and AFAIK CD723) have a ceramic resonator, not a quarz as frequency determining element, not a good idea IMHO....."

So that could be a reason that it is not that popular to do this change
