Hy,
i own a Parasound PDD-1500 DAC and use it for AC3 as well as for stereo. I like it very much but there are two things that confuses me. Between two tracks the DAC looses contact to the transport, it "locks out" so that most of the time the beginning of the next track is missing. That happens not on every CD and it doesn´t effect DVD and LD. My brother owns the same DAC and have the same problem but his DAC has a further "funny" thing. Whenever he changes to the next track or cue throug a sceen on DVD or LD his DAC go in the "Dialog" mode where dynamic is compressed. Fortunately my own PDD misses this feature. A mail to Parasound about these problems remains unanswered, maybe someone in this forum have a solution. Best regards Frank |
