How to align laser lens?

Hi,

I wonder if anyone do alignment after changing the laser lens of your CDP yourself? Would like to know exactly what you do to align it? If your CDP playing normally after changing the optical pickup does it mean it's well aligned ?

I would always check the alignment after replacing a pickup. Although many pickups will work straight out of the box, it does not mean they are optimally aligned.

This covers a basic alignment. Be aware that this is skilled work and you should not 'twiddle in hope' or adjust anything you are not sure of.
