Default CD2pro spring or rigid chassis

I have a displaced cd2pro working, now I'm starting to think how make the chassis, I'm unsure if fix it with spring or just plain rigid to the chassis.
Curios to hear your experience on it.

I think without spring would only make sense with a VERY heavy chassis. And better heavy chassis AND springs somewere. Either between the chassis and the transport, or between the heavy chassis and floor.
