CD Transport Design

Hi!
I'm interested in what people think is the best way to design a CD Transport (Parts, open or enclosed CD holder, stiff suspension or free moving) or even anything else that might come to your mind in the design of a good CD Transport without spending huge amounts of dough!
Also, pictures of what you have done, or what you think is really good, and also what has worked and what hasn't.
Thanks alot for reading (and responding) to my somewhat long winded post!
