hi everyone, i was wondering if anyone knows of a place or person who will replace ALL the capacitors in my lovely marantz cd80. it sounds fine as it is but those caps are about fifteen years old and could do with a change.
cheers.

I would do that for you but since I am in Holland that won't be the most practical solution
![]() Normally I replace ALL caps except the big 6800 uF ones. I add a low jitter clock with separate supply/transformer and replace opamps too. Too bad I don't have a CD80 myself I like your signature but : ner ner,i have the knowledge for modding a marantz cd80 and YOU dont!

All I can say is: use the Search function !
CD80 is one of the best IMO. Please use quality parts and do things right, the cdplayer is worth the effort.

What do you think it is worth (is that correct English
It has OPA627's in it. No further mods. BTW here http://www.wenwaudio.nl/product.htm is also one for sale. According to me this is a cheap one. |
