It's a long time ago I compared that! The sound gets smoother. More controlled. A worthwhile improvement IMHO...

super-E cap. used with blackgate nx series (non-polar). can we use any brand non-polar ?. |

The super-E configuration is possible with Blackgate N and NX caps. You could try this with a regular brand non-polars. Probably sounds better too, but I do not know the exact outcome...
BTW: 47 Labs likely uses non-polars of 20 uF-100 uF. It could be that this is better to filter the high frequency content above 20 kHz (partly) away... Fedde
