I have just built an A/D converter using the Analog Devices AD1871 chip.
It seems to work, but I would still like to know all the things I have done wrong ![]() The schematic is here: http://stiftsbogtrykkeriet.dk/~mcs/ADCon2_sch.gif And here is a small, blurry PCB drawing: http://stiftsbogtrykkeriet.dk/~mcs/ADCon2_pcb.gif I designed the circuit using the datasheet of the chip, and the evaluation board manual. I don't really know what I'm doing, as this is my first attempt... Are the buffers and RC filters on the output a good idea? I copied those from the eval. board. And what RC filters (if any) should I use at the other end of the cable? Are schmitt trigger buffers a good idea on the input end? I also might need an input selector to select between the A/D converter and a digital input. What do you use for switching between digital (I2S) signals? Analog switches/muxes? Relays? Best regards, Mikkel C. Simonsen |
