problem for locking a disc with a laser diode module

Hi,

My dvd/SACD player is not able to lock anymore the discs and write "disc error" on the frontplate screen :

I cleaned the diode with no result.

I tried to play with the screw behind the laser diode module to setup the speed : no result : "disc error" or always in "loading" mode (seen on the frontplate monitor) !

Any idea please ?

The player is the Philips DVP 5500 player (tweaked 6 years ago... have only reading problems now and touched nothing inside for a long time...)
