Hi,
I have an issue on a Roksan Caspian with skipping ! I found that the CD turns a bit loose like a CD not well centered?
Is it a jerking tray motor while reading the CD?
I guess the motor is used and must be changed... Are parts easy to find?
Kind regards
Bernard

Where to buy a Spindle motor Sanko 71820?
I need first to replace this spindle motor since it plays far to loose with a jerking behavior that obviously prevents the laser head to read accurately!
Please let me know where to get this precious part!

nicoh58 said Sic58?
what does it mean?
It is his signature which appears on all his posts. I think he is saying to get one from Roksan.
If you want to source the motor elsewhere you need to provide much more info such as mech and pickup type and maybe pictures too 🙂

hello,
I have removed the mechanism to put some grease in the spindle motor.
I also removed the electronic board to check the underside of the board where the Zener diode is soldered and found that one leg looks like copper but not with a nice solder!
So i desoldered both legs or this Zener diode.
The hell was to desolder the Digital output lead because the wire is very short.
After remounting the Caspian Player i have no more issues: it's the tenth CD that plays OK!
;-)
The only issue is that the Caspian cannot play my ripped CD that play without a hitch on my Micromega Leader player rejuvenated with a CDM4 replacement thanks to Manfred Hiller!
But the ******* Zener diode is still dying hot so i will make a mod with a heatsink to prevent damaging the mother board!
I may thank you especially Molly from Canada for describing the Zener diode issue and also Tiefbassuebertr.
