Questions on playing the CD-R disks

My friend asked me recently the two questions(maybe just the same question):
1.Can the Wadia transport play the CD-R disks?
2. Can the TEAC VRDS 10/20/25X CDP play the CD-R disks?

I don't know the answers ,and I want to know.

Could you help me, Audiofanatic & the other member?

Some CDPs can't play CD-Rs and RWs becoz of their "transparentness" to the Laser lens...especially old ones as the laser is already weak and cannot be adjusted for more power...in most newer kinda CDPs...some can play RWs as they use higher power when reading difficult discs...it depends also on the type of CD-R or RW used...I've heard that Green gives alot of problems and Blue, Black and gold gives good performance...I'm not sure about RWs though...vry few of my CD-Players can read those..
