Default Amanero USB-I2S and Quad Core MiniPC great Media Center !

Hi, after I purchased a cheap quad core miniPC for media player and wireless internet navigation purposes I have discovered that with the last kernels from a custom ROM that I use it is working flawlessly with the AMANERO combo384 !

this miniPC is running the last Android 4.2.2 using latest kernels (it is known that linux is the father of Android) and amanero board is working nativelly out of the box with these kernels without having to use a specific driver

the miniPC has 2 GB RAM, 8GB SSD, quad core 1,8 Ghz processor, HDMI output, 2 X USB and integrated N type wireless network and uses ONLY 3 Watts of power at 5V

As you can see in the pictures I have attached an USB HUB so that I can use a 2 TB HDD connected to it, the amanero combo and the wireless receiver of my MELE F10 AIR-mouse/Keypad wireless Remote Controller ... it is as little as the amanero

the whole package together with the remote controller was 120$ including shipping (ebay)

as you can see the amanero combo is recognized in the device manager and POWERAMP is playing a 24bit/96khz FLAC file

the miniPC is perfect for playing also 1080p FULLHD mkv's, XBMC streaming, web browser, being compatible with thousands of android software from google.store and latelly also as a very good music player being able to use with it your favourite DAC, turning your TV into a super SMART TV

you can check out this little youtuve videoclip also : Free Sky TV on Android Quad core stick. Sky TV on android www.androidsticks.co.uk - YouTube

as you can see also from the last picture it plays perfectly smooth a 1080p sample file that even my expensive desktop PC with Nvidia videocard is struggling, you can download this 140 MB sample here and try it for yourself

I have also uploaded the 24bit / 96khz file which I made my test with (PRINCE - PURPLE RAIN it's a vinyl rip)

Sweet.

I wonder if the amanero would work with the raspberry pi and xbmc player?

Although I should pick up a android stick - they're dirt cheap.

raspberry pi has mediocre specifications also as CPU and GPU so it will strugle with high-bitrate 1080p files and with XBMC; also at software development is kinda stuck; this mk908 's software is updated on daily basis and does all this perfectly smooth in XBMC using also hardware acceleration to off-load the CPU; new custom ROMS and kernels to be found here :

Tronsmart T428, MK908, etc

Did you ever test the 384kHz file? I've been planning a really high-end android car pc with the amanero so curious if it works with the higher bitrates?
