Were am i? Laserreplacement or any adjustment?
Lens is cleaned from dust.
Hope for some helpful hints.

hard to say. In case of players for cd only I would replace only the laser head. But in players compatible to SACD mode the RPM value is much more higher (similar like DVD).
As a result, the spindle motor could be damaged more and in this case I would rather replace the mechanism (the spindle motor as single part isn't available as I know).

Could the spindle motor be damaged even though it starts to spin when i put a cd in?

I think this unit has the Philips transport electronics that is doomed to failure, as does the Philips SACD-1000 the Musical Fidelity Trivistor sacd player, it cannot be repaired and is now not supported by Philips.

You can add Marantz SA-12 to that list above as well, they all have the smd 200 odd pin MACE and FURORE chips mounted on the board that is attached to the bottom of the transport, these chips are doomed to failure after they are powered up, it can take days weeks or months, but it will eventually happen and there's no fix for it, it's almost like they generate their own virus that kill them off slowly. Philips now does not even reconize it as their product now.
Cheers George
