Hello!
Can somebody help me with the following problem: How can I change the volume of a digital AES3 audio stream? I hope there is an 'one solution' IC that I can control with help from a microcontroller (e.g. with i2C). This way, I can adjust the volume of the AES3 audio stream at a distance! I know it is possible with a DSP, but the design has to be simple and cost-effective...I don't want to do conversion to the analoge domain, because the signal flow has to be pure digital (broadcast application). I found a sample rate converter (Texas Instruments) that can do digital volume control, but that will cost me an extra AES3 receiver and transmitter chip. There must be something......right?... Thanks!! DvdV Junior Audio Engineer, The Netherlands. |
