Lightbulb Best transport with upgradability???

Hey Guys,

So, I've deciced afterall to get rid of the NAD S500 as a transport (my brother is buying it), and move to a dedicated transport. So this is where the questions begin...

What should I buy? I want something that is very "tweakable", and affordable. I don't mind second hand, as long as customer service still exists from the manufacturer and/or here. I would prefer not to break the bank (yes, I know its subjective, but my account is small!!!). I want to find the best bang-for the-buck! Of course, upgradability is essential, as I like to tweak my system.

So basically an excellent platform from which to build upon is desired.

My currnet system is:
NAD S500 (transport)
AudioNote DacKit 1.2
Audio Research SP9 MKIII
DIY 845 Monoblocks or Krell KSA100S
ProAc Response D15

Future upgrades will include a DIY pre, and either tweaking the DAC or replacing the DAC

I would like the transport to be able to keep up with significantly better DACS.

So, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Dont take life too seriously, you will never get out alive!
