I am trying to repair this early CD Player for someone.
Hitachi DA-1000 on thevintageknob.org
It has a broken Motorised Door Mechanism.
I am getting somewhere and have tried a 'Mark I' repair which although I was confident has not worked. However I am hopefull !
I have the diagram including the Exploded Views but I was wondering if anyone has one of these machines and wouldn't mind removing the front panel and either with everything still connected or the Door Motor powered externally (Do desolder the wires!) could take some pics of the Motor Cam Assembly fully closed and fully open. Better still a short video of it opening.
