arcam cd73

Hi, not sure if anyone can help with this, but I have a problem with this cd player missing/not reading sections of music from cd's, normally around the middle of the disc. I have played differnt discs to eliminate possible damage to cd's but it re-occurs?
The laser was replaced around a couple of months ago and has had minimal use,so I would assume that this was ok, other than dirt, I can't really conclude what may be causing this?
Any suggestions as to what the problem may be?

Try calling Arcam directly, they are usually very helpful.

Generally I would be looking for some mechanical issue. Either crud on the laser carrying rails or possibly some hardening of the cables to the laser.

As you are new, you haven't attached a Country to your ID.

Hi, I'm from the uk, both laser and transport were replaced with new, together with the ribbon connector to the pcb.
I'll have to take it apart to have a look to see if its anything obvious?
