Stream iTunes to DAC
Already have a very good DAC. How can I stream iTunes from my PC to to it? Could use the S/PDIF digital output of a wireless DAC, but that seems a waste.
Is there such an animal available that streams with just digital outputs?

There's plenty of sound cards with bit-perfect digital outputs. Anything which can send Dolby Digital or DTS should be perfect with PCM audio. If you don't want to mess with a PCI card, there's various USB sound devices with S/PDIF output.

My Mac Mini has S/PDIF optical out. Works with the FIIO DAC I got recently.

You could also pick up an Apple Airport Express. I got mine for $60 on eBay. May be "wasteful" but it's rather cost effective and has optical S/PDIF out.

Both the Mini and the AX use the 3.5 mm mini-jack with optical link.
